I have been doing Keto for about 60 days. I use a blood tester to see if I am in Ketosis. The highest reading I have achieved so far is 0.5

Most of the time I am at 0.3.  What do I need to do to get deeper into Ketosis?  Do I need to be right on the percentages of the macros or can I come in 10 or 20 grams under the goal? I am using MCT oil capsules and electrolytes capsules.

Any help would be so appreciated 😊

From what I understand (being  new to keto), here’s the scoop on the macros: Carbs are a limit (that one we get)…Protein is a target... and 𝙵𝚊𝚝 is a lever, use that number to feel satisfied (satiated). It’s important to get your protein to avoid muscle loss, and why you need so much fat. You want your body to adapt to burning fat as fuel. If you get too much protein, that can be hard on the kidneys.
So don’t stress out about any single day, just try to hit your macros over longer stretches of time. Assuming you’re setting your fat at 65-75% and your protein to 20-30%, with carbs at 5% limit, you should see progress. Some people use fasting (intermittent or other) to kickstart their ketosis, or to get back to progressing after a stall. A couple days of super low carbs (Like <10 g) should do it, too.
Good luck and stick with it!
