Hi l don’t have a gall bladder, also have low thyroid and mild pancreatic scarring. I did my research and thought l would give Keto a shot. I follow the program and don’t cheat or snack and in 4weeks in lm down 12lbs enjoying the new lifestyle. I don’t do bile salts, l figure if my body can deal with me eating crap without a gall bladder for years, it can deal with Keto healthy eating and it does. No problems at all. Hope you do well.

I’ve been doing great not having a gallbladder, I’m not sure what bile salts are but I don’t use that just low carbs, I lowered my fats a bit too to loose the weight. Let my body use body fat. I’m not sure if it’s a correct way of doing things but it works for me. I’m down from 280 to 255 since January 2, 2019

DawnMarie you have to commit if you want to see a change in your body, mood and self image. You can do this and the weight will come off. I am fighting health issues too but my diabetes numbers have come down to normal and my other issues are on the road to recovery too. I never thought I could do another diet but this Keto is a life changer and im sticking with it for life. Good luck DawnMarie!!! It’s a marathon not a sprint! Commit and you’ll do fine. Oh and watch YouTube videos. They helped me a lot.

I have no gallbladder and started bile salts. Yes with every meal for me but I cannot eat anything (before or after Keto) without it running right through me for years so I need something to help with that always. I have been taking Cholystramine to bind the bile that drips into my intestines having no gall bladder to store it and stops constant diarrhea but it blocks fat soluble vitamins (A,D,E and K) which is contradictory to Keto since we need some fats. Soooo... I am trying ox bile instead. Works pretty good, yes with each meal, take about 20 minutes before each meal (500mg, there is also 125mg) works better that way. Stomach ache if taken and you dont eat.
I went to bile salts bc I started Keto Mar 7 and have only lost 3 pounds so giving it a try. Hope this helps.
p.s. I also bought digestive enzymes since it was suggested to go with ox bile but that is a big NO for me, goes right through me.

I don’t have a gallbladder, but i go occasionally have acid reflux. I do take a digestive enzyme, and have ox bile to take if needed. I only take those with meals that will bother me. I also use apple cider vinegar when needed. There is an article i believe on Diet Doctor. I researched keto and no gallbladder for info before I started.
