New to keto

Im starting the keto diet and it's stressing me out!! I can't eat eggs- I've tried and my body says NO! I'm becoming obsessed with what to eat for breakfast because of it.   Any good recipes or suggestions?

Some form of ballistic coffee is always good. My preference is: heavy cream, ghee, coconut oil, and MCT oil.

A low carb protein shake with a quality protein, if you can't eat eggs there is Pea protein that you can have.  Be sure to look at the ingredients, no sugar etc.  I use a high quality beef protein because I also have food sensitivities.    I also add 1/2 of avocado for more fat and 1 cup of almond milk unsweetened with 5 ice cubes...it tastes like a creamy creamy chocolate shake.  I'm not hungry for 4-5 hours...

  • I'm never hungry in the morning so I skip breakfast. If you're not hungry, don't eat, especially breakfast. If your body is telling you it's hungry, there are many Keto cookbooks or recipes on Pinterest you could try.

I rarely eat eggs, you should be fine. Just cool up some meat and keep it in the fridge.

ahmed.alsaied3  I have to kindly disagree with this statement . This isn't true for ketogenic fat adapted people, or actually anyone. They have told us this for years, no real clinical proof. That's why we have higher than anyone obesity levels- we eat way to much food.  Actually, intermittent fasting is good for us. It helps lower your insulin levels to a more normal level. We don't have to eat breakfast if we are not hungry, or any meal for that matter.

badmojomn from my research so far, I totally agree, breakfast is not essential I was brought up believing it was, and all that metabolic misinformation ~ heard it on the BBC that it not true either lol 😂

Joanna Us Yankees are still more obese than you guys. Ain't that the truth! It's our over processed food and what our FDA and them put in our food to make us want more. More more more. Not to mention the antidepressants and anti anxiety pills and other meds that make us sick because we don't eat healthy. I have to say, my personal anxiety level almost reached a point where I thought I may need medication. I am feeling more calm on keto.

badmojomn it’s truly shocking what “industry” has done to us. So glad you feel calm. We can’t help craving once addicted, we are lab mice going round a maze trying to find our way out.  🙌 to the leading professionals in Keto ~ and for us here ‘good old British farmers’ for our high standards, not to mention Europe. We have too many fast foods chains here now, hence our growing crisis ~ we are fatter than the rest of Europe. Fortunately my husband & I have lived country lives most of our lives so can honestly say we do not have Takeouts ~ unless we go to the English seaside & eat good old fashioned fish & chips 😋 ~ yikes, none for me now!

badmojomn also need to add having visited quite a few ‘states’ we don’t have room to get massively obese ~ not being flippant it’s just true.  Cars, houses, furniture, restaurant space, chairs in waiting rooms.... the list could be a mile long...

ahmed.alsaied3  Breakfast is not at all important on Keto. You are mixing up mainstream diet advice with what actually works
