Net calories

Hi I'm Debbie and I'm new to keto. I have a question, what are net calories? Different than calories?

  • Total carbs less fiber and erythritol sweetener,  if used in food item, equals net carbs. Net carbs is what you should track

I literally just looked up this definition about an hour ago.

Net calories are the difference between the energy you take in (food/drink) and the energy you burn through exercise (activity).

So I guess it's saying you subtract all of the calories you eat and drink everyday from the calories you burn everyday from exercising to get net calories.
