3 months into Keto

Would like to hear from others with a lot of weight to lose. Have you hit plateaus? How do you get past them?  I’ve lost 30 lbs in 3 months.  I’m 64 and need to lose another 70 lbs.  I remember doing a low carb diet when I was a young man and the weight came off much faster.  Believe I need to raise level of exercise.  I’m using a smart bathroom scale that gives me lots of info on BMI, %Body Fat, muscle mass and other info.

I have found it helpful to track my meals and ketones daily.  Track weight and measurements weekly.  If I keep this rate of weight loss I still have 3-4 months to reach my goal if I don’t plateau.

*when I was young *😉.  60 here. This is changing our metabolism not only our diet.  Have you researched the benefits of keto for our age?  Fantastic benefits.  I watched a ton of YouTube. My faves are Dr Eric Westman & Dr. Ken Berry I would suggest only walking if you want to start moving.  Introducing to much stress on the body could also cause a stall if you weren’t doing it before Keto.  I’m 3 months in and only lost a pound or 2 the first 6 weeks.  I’ve lost 13lbs in the last 3.

Frank it didn’t take 6 months to put the weight on😉 figure twice as long to take it off.😁.( I believe it can happen more quickly) Dr. Berry has a video “Slash Your Dementia” silly title it’s about Autophagy.  Like 10 things you can do with out IF or intermittent fasting.  You’ll hear more about it. I don’t unless it comes naturally. Dr Westman addresses it.  It works great for the younger ones however for us it can stress our bodies...which produces cortisol and can make us stale.   You’re doing great!
