I've been on Keto for almost 2 months now, logging on CM for the last month and a half.  Yesterday I did not log at all but stayed with all the "golden" food items, and to my dismay, I discovered today that I was about 100 cal over my calorie limit (but under my carb limit).  This was with a lot of forbearance, mind you.  How easy to deceive myself without logging!  The great thing about feeding yourself is that you can change the quality of your diet at any moment of your life; you can make yourself accountable by faithfully logging your intake on an app like CM.  I subscribed to the premier version of CM so that I can see my nutrient consumption and what I need in the way of nutrients (my deficits are clearly for Ca++, K+, Mg++, and Vit D).  I also monitored my blood sugars to see what impact various foods had on them.  For me this is all toward helping me be accountable.  I have found that by staying within the macros in the weight loss diet plan (5/25/70) laid out for me by CM, I can achieve measurable ketosis, and my weight loss is consistent if not rapid or spectacular.  Just remember, this is a lot easier than learning how to walk and that you can do it.
