Im new to this. I'd like to lose 2.5 pounds a week and my caloric intake is less than 900!  I feel like I'll starve!

When you cut out most carbs, you will automatically eat fewer calories. You won’t starve. I’d ignore the calories at first and eat all the fat you want — enjoy the eggs, cheese, mayo, and other foods we’ve been taught to avoid. After a few weeks you can start paying attention to calories. Trying to do both at once was impossible for me. Also, keep a strict food journal. I was surprised at the carbs in foods I thought were relatively carb free. Don’t cheat on the carbs — I did at first and didn’t lose any weight.

  • I'm not understanding the total carbs and net carbs. It says my net carb limit is 11g

texxasgirl62 There are two kinds of carbs - fibres and sugars.  The fibre carbs don't contribute to your total sugar/glucose count that you're trying to reduce so you can subtract them.  Hence, the net count of carbs.  I bet you found that info elsewhere, too!
