Moondrake You sound like me. I’m 6310 started at 220 pounds. I’m currently at 201 with a goal of 160 pounds. I think I have big bones. Size 10 shoes, size 10 ring. I carry my weight extremely well and that’s how I got into this condition. I was wearing size 18 and I am now squeezing into 14s. I am active, but do not do formal exercise. I feel really good on this way of eating and I think it’s going to be my long term path.

Patrice Over the 3.5 months that I have been doing keto, I have averaged about .5 lbs lost per day, with minor setbacks for free meals at Thanksgiving and Christmas. That's a great result compared to any other diet I've tried. The best I've done in the past was a balanced macro diet (33/33/33) on which I was never happy with my meals and killing myself with exercise every day to lose 85 lbs in 10 months. I've lost 42 lbs in 3.5 months on keto, I love the food and don't exercise a lot, and I am 10 years older and post menopause. I couldn't maintain that other diet, and gained all the weight back in a year. I'm hoping that keto is a real lifestyle change and not just a diet. I don't know if I can go the rest of my life without pasta and potatoes, but I'm going to try. The fact that I can have all the coconut and butter I want is a pretty good trade.

Hi everyone....
I'm 43 - 5ft 8in tall and started on Jan 4th at 2019 at 194 pounds. 11 days later and I am at 191 but have been 191 for 5 days now. It seems a little early to plateau - I am hitting my macro split every day and exercising every other day, calorie deficit daily & drinking lots of water. Any thoughts? Do I need to just stay patient?

jacks hey there. So I just started low carb like 4 days ago and I weighed 184 and I'm 177 now. I have the hardest time sticking with anything AND losing weight. I'm shocked honestly. I'll first say, I've never felt better. I dont starve myself or feel hungry. If I feel hungry I drink water or coffee between meals. I'm gonna tell you how I did it. Which, again, is a big deal bc like I said, it's hard to lose weight I've tried so many things. I eat low carb and intermittent fast. Before I changed my diet, I would get cranky and feel sick if I just missed one meal. So I eat 10am to 6pm. From 6pm to 10am I fast. Which is easy bc I'm sleeping and dont feel hungry. What I eat is a big breakfast ex. 2 eggs, spoon of salsa, pinch of cheese, a sausage and 2 pieces of bacon. I'll drink lots of water, it helps with appetite. If I get hungry before my next meal I'll drink coffee and the hunger is gone. I dont eat lunch, I'll snack and have a little deli meat and a pickle or piece of chicken. For dinner I might have a hamburger party and a salad. Use the app to help determine. If I'm unsure, I'll type it in to see what the nutrition facts are before I eat it.
I wish you luck!! If I can do this, you can!! Seriously! Fasting and low carb is the secret! Find a fasting schedule that meets your needs.

Becky Arvila I live in South Texas and my favorite cafe bite is a Barbecoa taco without the tortilla. I ask the waitress to not include it but get the onions and cilantro and lime on the plate. If I’m really hungry I’ll have a small guacamole on the side. It’s delicious and totally Keto. Lots of fat in the meat.
I’m 63 and 2 months in. I’ve lost 21 lbs and have 40 more to go. But even more exciting is I’ve dropped from size 18 pants to size 14 and for the first time in years I can see my “biz ness”! Push the fat and you’ll see results and the hunger will go away.
Also my hip joint pain is GONE! At my age, that’s a pretty big deal.

Hi, I started in sept18 at 176lb. I reached 141lb by my 40th bday in november. I was ecstatic! Everyone who came to my party said I didnt look 40 at all.... That was such a morale booster!!!
Since then I havent followed my diet strictly but have managed to keep the weight off and not gain at all.
Today I am back on it, weighing in at 138lb and aiming for a 12lb loss by April.
Will I manage? Someone please send me some positive vibes...its so hard restarting again!!!!

Began my Keto journey in May 2017 with no expectations. My hubby began in March of that year for reasons other than weight loss. I didn't even take pictures or measurements! I've lost 37lbs without tracking but staying strict and went from a tight size 14 to a loose size 8. Mostly medium size but actually a few small tops now! I have been plateaued for awhile but decided to try tracking. I have lost 2lbs since tracking but I'm struggling with tracking!

535efc91 I've been on Keto for only a month and lost 11 lbs so far. People at work tell me I deserve a 'carb day' where i can eat whatever I want. I know the moment I veer off the track, I'll crash and maybe won't recover. I didn't think I had a self-discipline problem, but this process is teaching me otherwise. You are brave to start back. You can do it!

Sseiser19 . I am 5'0 and my end is goal is 130. I think I can maintain at that weight long term. I started at 193, I am entering week 4 and I am down 10 pounds, but I lost 8 in the first week. I am going to start working out this week and monitoring my calories based on the suggestions from the forum.
