Progress low carbing

Still trying to figure out what carb range is best for me. This week it was below 81. I started 18 days ago and I’ve lost 3 pounds so I am happy with the results. Don’t get enough exercise in this time of year. 

I would rather eat at the higher end and allow myself healthy carbs like that delicious red apple for lunch, than eat on the low end and feel guilty if I eat a few grapes. ;) 

Been doing desk toe touches and I am either losing inches, or the pants I wore yesterday have died. ;) Probably a little of both since they were about 10 years old. But when I started I couldn’t reach then floor. Was stopping about 5 inches off. Now I can touch the floor! 

So although I don’t officially weight till Monday, I wanted to say you can be almost totally sedentary (commute and desk job 11 hrs a day) and lose on low carb. As long as you spend these carbs on healthy foods and not chips!

    TW here, I'm still confused, Are you trying to gain wt or what?  81 carbs is more than I do in a week. You lost 3 lbs in 3 weeks, I do in 3 days, What are you doing?

    I am in no hurry. I do not have a desire to stay that low. I’d rather learn to eat at a level I can do for the rest of my life. I understand in Keto you’d only get 20 a day, but this forum is for people who are eating low carb, which between 50 and 100 a day. I did’’t gain this weight in a month and I am perfectly fine with losing it over time. 

    Plus be able to plan for birthdays, anniversaries, bridal showers and not panic that I ate cake. 

    I lost 35 pounds eating this way before, so I know my body pretty well. I may have 20 days, but as long as I am losing 1-2 pounds a week, I am content to go at my own pace.

    if that doesn’t work for you, then that’s not my problem.

    Skinnier By Summer  SBS, TW here, you are absolutely correct, the only problem with your reasoning is if you drag it out long enough, you will become bored and"I lost 35 pounds eating this way before, so I know my body pretty well.     SBS and January vista FYI a piece of birthday cake is 40 carbs and 40 net carbs, however a same size piece of Low Carb Chocolate Birthday Cake is 7 net carbs.  But you 2 know better.

  • TW Lost 45 you have to be the most negative person I have ever met. Life is too short to miss out on occasional joys. You plan for birthday cake. You plan for that wedding cake. But when I die, I’d rather my kids know I celebrated the joyful experiences in life with gusto and yes cake over look how skinny mom is.

    Skinnier By Summer TW here, Of all the people I have tried to help (and there have been many) you are the only one that has ever told me I was negative.  You are right, a piece of Cake is more important then your health... God Bless you and good luck with whatever you do.
