Hi, I’m new and looking for encouragement!

I’m a week in to Keto and so far so good. I’m down 4 pounds and that’s with trying to learn how to cut out carbs.  I am looking for supportive friends for advice and encouragement. I’m 45 and time to get in shape!

Mary you have made a great decision and good job so far. Stick with the plan and your body will react positively. I know it’s not easy but just thing of all the good foods you can eat without carbs. It can be difficult if you dine out. One trick is to eat some low carb foods before you go to a restaurant. At some restaurants you can order a meat entre steamed veggies and salad. No heavy carbs. When you see blood sugar numbers go down, you’ll be rewarded.

Welcome. Last year to the date, I started carb manager at 372.9 pounds and last time on the scale 207.2 (about 3 days ago). Tip number 1. Do not worry about the scale right now. Get started on safely reducing the carbs and all will get better. 2. I started early playing a sort of game. I saw the carb limit like cash in the bank that is not saved and replenishes every 24 hours. The game was to not spend on carbs. I would see how I could eliminate carbs during the day and not worry toward the end of the day near my last meal because I banked the carbs for the day. The cool part was every 24 hours the bank reset and I could not use any unspent carb cash from the day before. It has helped me reduce the carbs and not miss them. I can eat anything but I choose not to eat. It is quite empowering.
