Low carb wraps????? Do they stall weight loss

I bought low carb wraps from store. It says on package 3 net carbs. I’ve been eating one a day and now barely in ketosis. Anyone else have this problem with low carb wraps?

I only eat “ low carb” wraps as a treat. I wouldn’t eat them every day.

I felt like my sugars were high the next morning. I’m not going to eat them again.

  • Dear jksnurse48c3,

What is the brand of these wraps.  I have never seen a low carb wrap.  Maybe they do not have them here in New Zealand.  Please let me know so I can try to find them.

    Sincerely,

I know it's not the answer you are looking for but instead of those wraps you can use lettuce leaves, endive leaves (today for my lunch I used romaine lettuce wraps) - low carb guaranteed ;)

I just think that sometimes we are too consumed with finding the special products when there are plenty of decent substitutes. Talking about myself BTW :)

Beverly Avery jksnurse48c3 the ones I buy locally are Mission low carb balance. About 6 net I think but total is 16+ but I can’t remember off the top of my head. Only as a treat though. I found them at the Walmart here. You can ask Walmart to Carry them if they have other mission brand wraps. There are some online also I had some some YouTube review watching. I haven’t had the guts to try them yet though. What is the brand you tried JK? Were they at least good tasting ?

  • Hi there, I am also overweight and planning to follow a diet plan and workout regularly. I have heard many good things about a diet guide that it is the best way to reduce weight if you follow it strictly. While searching online I came across https://www.cellublue.com/fr/product/fit-food-guide/ . Do you have any suggestions for this?

  • Dear Badmojomn,

I found some low carb tortillas (10 inch and 5 carbs).  I ordered them.  I will will them up with mustard, ham, chicken, pastrami, a little cheese lettuce and grill it on my George Foreman Grill.  I will let you know how it goes.

    Wrap 5 carbs

    Mustard 0 carbs

    Meat. 0 carbs

    Cheese 1 carb

lettuce not much—might not use lettuce.

I am going to make a pizza.  A little pizza sauce (I will measure carbs) peparoni, ham, bacon, (meat no carbs) a little moserilla cheese (less then .5 percent).  Cook in my pizza cooker and see how it is.  I have big plans for these totilias.

I am very excited to see if this works.  I would love to eat a sandwich, or a whole pizza and not just the top off the pizza.

I will have the orange choco Perfection candy here Mon or Tue (I am a day a head of you as I see you live in the states).  Boy do I miss the states.

Maybe I could use these tortillas to make a meat pie? I can’t wait to see what ideas will spring to mind.  Hey have you heard of “The Hammilton Beach Breakfast Sandwich Maker”? Watch the video.  You put the bread on then the meat.  Next close the lid top of the meat and bread and there is a cup like area to add an egg, then cheese if you like.  I have not used it because of the bread issue.  (I used it when I was not on this diet) But I would only have to  cut out a little circle of bread (Easy as the machine comes apart for washing so I just cut around the circle I will place the bread in (so I want even use the 5 carbs).

I tried to send you a link and of course failed so look under Amazon-Hammelton Beach 254758 Breakfast Sandwich maker.  Then you can go find a Utube.  You can even make egg McMuffins like Mc Donald’s.  There is also a cook book but it is for things with lots of carbs like a Monte Chriso Sandwich.

You can make omelet’s—-The eggs cook perfectly every time.

How about this bread with bacon, Avocado and Swiss cheese grilled?

There is a portobello mushroom burger.  The mushrooms are your buns and you can add spinach, moserilla cheese with bacon on top.  I have one of these machines and I gave each of my boys one.  They buy the little waffles and cut them into the circle using the machine and then put marshmallows, chocolate, etc——-they are not dieting.

Oh well I am letting my excitement get away with me again.

    Sincerely,

    Beverly Avery

  • Dear Badmojomn,

I have just received “Mama Lupe’s” low carb tortillas from Amazon.

    1 Tortilla

    Carbs 7

    Fiber 4

    sugar 0

    Protien 5

    Fat 3

    saturated Fat 0

    Trans Fat 0

    So 7 carbs - 4 fiber = 3 net carbs

They look like the real thing to unlike some of the others I have ordered and they are brittle and break.  I will let you know how they taste soon.

I am a little afraid to write as this app took away my ability to reply and had me under some kind of moderation queue.  I wrote them and asked them to tell me what I had done wrong and I would take care of it.  They just said that one of their filters had caught one of my replies and took away my ability to talk to anyone.  They reviewed whatever it was and immediately gave me my ability to respond again, but did not tell me what the filter did not like.  Has this happened to you?

    Dear icinderella,

I have used lettuce leaves and I do love it on hamburgers at McDonnalds.  Sorry it took so long to get back to you but please send me any ideas you have, I am always pleased to learn more.

I will mention to you that I found “Mama Lupe’s” tortillas. They have 7 carbs and 4 fiber so that will be 3 net carbs per tortilla.  They look like the real thing unlike some I have bought and they are white, hard, and brittle.  I bought them from Amazon.  You might like to take a look.  The protien is 5, sugar 0, Toal fat 3, sat and trans fat are 0.

Let me know if you try them.  I just received them here and have not tried them yet.

    Sincerely,

    Beverly Avery
