Need an off line mode
With the connection issues I would like to recommend that an offline mode be implemented. If I am unable to connect it seems the app will not load, or show foods when I do get into it.
I also realize that I cannot have the entire food database on my phone, but at least allow for the meals I have created be allowed caching. Would be another plus to get premium members like myself to sign up

I totally agree! Lots of times I'm traveling and since you've got quite some time to waste, it will be ideal playing with the app and adding your foods. Same here, I do t expect to search and find foods never used before but I'm sure the favorites and previous used can be readily available?! That will make this app ideal.
