Hello! I’m new to this Keto way of food (2 days). I was on chemotherapy and other really poisonous medications for 10 years to try and treat Behcet’s Disease. It destroyed my desire for food. I quit conventional treatments 3 years ago but I never regained my desire for food. If I ate (usually every couple of days) it would usually be a frozen “homemade” breaded frozen fish sandwich, a bowl of Honeynut Cheerios with a 1/4 cup sugar on it, or a PB&J sandwich; occasionally I would grab a taco or maybe a slice of pizza. Very specific I know, but that’s how it’s been. I actually have eaten the last 2 days because my desire for food was piqued by the food combinations a friend told me was Keto. I’m excited by this. I think my health, muscle tone, energy, brain power can improve. Last night I actually slept 7 hours in a row. That’s the longest I’ve put together at one time in over 10 years! I don’t understand the numbers part of this. Today I went over the fat% & under the carb%. Can anyone tell me what that means & how to adjust it. I don’t want to lose weight. I’m trying to get my health back. I want to be able to actually exercise more than a walk around the block. I want to be able to have more than just skin hanging on me because I have no muscle tone. I really think it’s possible with this way of eating. The picture I chose shows me 3 months ago. I hope it conveys that I really have a positive heart & a desire for life. It also shows the scars on my legs as a consequence of this nasty disease. What it did to my outsides it also does to internal organs. Since I quit treatment I have gone into remission. It’s time to get my life back! Any suggestions would be so appreciated! Thank you for your consideration. 🤗🙂
