Auto update

I’m used to apps auto-updating. I apparently downloaded the app just before you made the new version available (I’m using iPhone and iPad). I only found out about the update because my wife downloaded the iPad version for creating standard recipes for my diabetic diet. She asked for help and low and behold found her version to be very different. I checked on both iphone and iPad and was told I was up to date. I had to delete and reinstall to get the new version.
