New guy here!

Been on Keto for week. Put on a tiny bit of weight about 2lbs.

I gym 5-6 times a week for couples hours. But found I'm not losing anymore weight and stuck.

Trying out Keto and still getting a grasp of things. Glad found this app as MyFitnessPal is useless!

Any suggestions etc be welcomed. Especially when it comes to what veg to eat.

Keto doesn't happen fast. It's an over time thing. Your in the gym a few hours a day 5-6 times a week. You need extra research with this or injuries can occur.  If your lifting, please YouTube keto and weight training. There is a lot of good information out there.  Im not sure if you meant you put on 2 pounds from starting keto, but I I'll assume,  and you should know, this could be muscle mass and or water weight....be careful keto and lifting and or heavy cardio. This takes education- it can be dangerous if you don't know what your doing.

Normally when you start Keto you will lose a lot of water weight so the first thing I would do is figure out your Macros if you haven't already.  I would also  suggest measuring and weighing everything you eat  just to insure that you aren't eating too many carbs.

Don't worry about the exercise part, if you feel good doing it just keep it up.  For me I felt weak for about 3 weeks after starting Keto due to  the carb restriction, once that weakness period ended I re-introduced exercise, I am now weight training 3 times and running 3 times a week.

I am no help as far as vegetables all I have is an Avocado everyday and a greens drink.

Here is a good read on Keto: https://www.reddit.com/r/keto/wiki/faq

basicreece It's only an issue if your not balancing properly your proteins and electrolytes. Lifting takes special care and attention to what your ingesting, it's a process you can read about online. The muscles require more when working them harder. I have read about kidney injuries and muscle strains if your not educated on the "body building" and keto subject. Rhabdomylosis is also another to be carful for. Just make sure your doing your research on heavy lifting and excercise together with ketogenic. Lots of info on the internet and YouTube. If the degree of lifting is light weights and very light cardio you may be okay with the typical ketogenic but I'm not sure how that works exactly. There is an " exactness" perse'  you need to follow. If you feel good like perry said then go for it I guess. I just read in various education online during my own personal research  it can be harmful if you don't know what your doing with combining them.

  • Ok great.

I've always weighed my foods and I drink over 4litres of water a day plus 3 to 4 cups coffee.

I'm a sweater once I get going at the gym and always have been so I keep on top of fluids.

I'm struggling with vegetables with meals. I looked at broccoli and seems it's alot of carbs?! Stuck eating avacado and spinach.

Worked out my macros and doing pretty well hitting them.

Due to my size I have a high protein intake according to my macros and fats of course even higher.
