Hunger pangs

I've been following the diet for more than 4 weeks. Now I'm having bad hunger pangs. I thought if I adhered to the low carb, high fat diet I could avoid hunger pangs. Suggestions?

See you following low carb or ketogenic.

  • I stick to about 50g of carb per day and just spread it out.  I’m type 2 and manage my diabetes with diet and exercise.  It prevents nausea and hunger pangs. Your body might need more.  Are you tired as well?

  • Eat avocado and increase your fat intake, I haven’t been hungry ever but it’s taken time to cut my calories

Yeah pretty tired but that could? be from fibromyalgia or my heart.  I do have a little more energy than I did before the diet. Thanks for your input!

i thought I was doing both. I'm eating 15% carbs, 15% protein and 70% fat. I use the urine test strips that I'm excreting keytones and I thought that meant I'm in keto sis. Do I have something mixed up?

vlarrimore6214c7ef Clarification. Low carb is different than ketogenic and yes your following ketogenic. Excellent, your now in ketosis. Keep up the great work! Hunger pangs were what I had. Eat macadamia nuts with some cheese or anything that keeps you going that’s ketogenic. The first three months I had hunger melt downs and following all macros. I had to go over fats and protein just to keep going keto. It’s okay. Less hunger will come.
