Brand new to Keto and completely lost. Any feedback would be welcomed.

  • My advice is to keep it simple. If weight loss is your goal there is zero reason to chase ketones. Ketones do not cause fat loss they are fuel in place of carbs.  You will be successful if you remove sugar and starch from your diet. Keep net carbs 20-50g, eat protein, and fat as the rest of your calories. Eat your veggies. Do not load up on extra fat in or on top of everything.  Burn the fat from your body not from the plate.  Do not drop calories too low.  Exercise.

  • Hi Shannon.  I’ve been on this low carb for a while.   The first few weeks are hard by nit eating bread and such like.   Now, I don’t miss it.  Word of warning.  I’ve been ill for over a week and my low carb went by the by. Now I’m 6 pounds heavier.  So it’s back to the drawing board   I find if you weigh yourself everyday it helps. Also the keto pee sticks are great to see when you hit keto.  You can get them from amazon. Good luck.
