Wow...your stats match mine almost perfectly.  It sounds like I'm doing things exactly the same.  I've been on this one week tomorrow, down almost 7 pounds.  I know I need to add more walking at the very least.  Good for you with the Zumba!  I hope your plateau passes...I'm sure it will.  Maybe add more water?  Also, you may be building some muscle with the exercise.

I just recently joined this app today. Pretty cool to see a keto community to help each other. I been doing keto since mid January. Starting weight of 351. Today I’m currently at 285. Almost 70 lbs down. I hit a plateau right around the 300 lb mark. That’s when I started doing intermittent fasting. Pretty much was just eating dinner of about 700-1000 calories (black coffee in the morning). I recently did a full 36 hour fast. (Last meal Thursday 6pm. First meal Saturday 11am. Might be more then 36) and I noticed a good 4 lb loss. I have a pretty active work schedule so I’m sure that helped. If I have any advice, it would be to maybe cut the MCT oil while fasting. I’ve read that MCT oil / BPC takes you out of your fast. Maybe try it for a couple of days. I usually drink my BPC on the weekends. Hope this helps!

  • FWIW, when plateau's happen, as they will for any diet as your body adjusts, I do one of a few things. I either do a 2 day fast; eat MORE calories, starting with a focus on protein, then fat, then carbs;  and I make sure I am taking in enough salt and then drinking water like CRAZY.

Unless it is woman hormone related, I have had success with all three of these shoving me off that stinking plateau. Some months, I just won't lose weight due to suspected hormones. The week before, the week of, and at least 3-5 days after are fairly consistent  no-loss days for me. I find that upping my salt and water really helps during those times, but is no guarantee.

Don't let a plateau sideline you. Just change something up a bit and see how your body reacts.  You can do it!

How do you survive on 800 calories and still get all your fats and protein in?

You don't.  1,200 is the minimum for women according to my research.  Google "minimum safe calories for women" and you will find most responses agree.
