Nutritional Facts - Weight of Product

Hi everyone. I have a question about the weight and measurement of green beans. When I scan the can it brings up the product and CM matches the nutritional facts on the can but when I go to weigh them on the scale the amount in ounces is different. I take the product out of the can, minus the water, and place it on the scale, the scale says 8oz but it is the whole can of green beans. (I double-checked my scales for accuracy.) Has anyone else noticed this? Do the nutritional facts include the water in the can?

Depends on what it says on the can. I have some tuna which mentions that it is for "one can, drained".

I've seen what deanis has said about the tuna cans, but it's rare to see two weights on a can.  As a test, I would weigh everything in the can and see if it matches the net weight.  My guess, it does.  I've been criticized for consuming the liquid in some canned veggies, but my theory is there is a lot of nutrients in that water and thus part of the nutritional information in the label.
