30# to lose

Hello...newbie here. A little about me.: I'm almost 65.. I quit smoking in 2012 and put on 45 pounds. I've lost 15, but can't seem to lose the rest. I've been dieting forever and am the QUEEN of self sabotage. Seems I've been losing and gaining the same 10 pounds forever. I've tried Keto before, but can't seem to be able to stay in Ketosis. So many things can kick you out. Hard to understand it all. Hopefully I'll succeed this time.

  • Hello 2n day today. Need to lose 40 lbs, I am 71.  What happens once you are not in Ketosis do you start to put the weight back on?  I take it then this is a forever life style change? working my way through this app.  Were is the button to post on the general group to introduce myself or is this it?

  • I’ve been on this diet two weeks and lost ten lbs so far. I struggle with evening treats or lack there of. I need to under my carb limit. Pushing forward!

    lanememory4c02 Hello, do you mean if” you go off of the ketogenic diet? I can almost certainly say “yes” to your question if I am understanding this correctly. Some weight will go back on, or all of it and possibly then some. Key is to stay low carb the rest of your life. It’s really like any way of eating, if you go back to your old habits, it comes back, and sometimes more than what you had lost. It’s a lifestyle change, but for the good.
