Where do we go for help?

New here and already in trouble!   The Butter Pecan Ice Cream calls for ghee in the instructions but it is not listed in the ingredients.  How can I find out how much ghee I should be using?

    Hi. I use the ice cream recipes in the Dr. Atkins New Diet Cookbook. They are delicious and don’t call for ghee. Hope that helps.

  • Thank you Kathy!  I have made several from my internet searches but I just can’t land on that perfect-in-every-way recipe.  Hubs says every custard recipe has a “slimy film” so I’m searching now for eggless versions.  We love anything cooked with ghee which is why I was so interested in that particular recipe but you’re right, Atkins should be an excellent source.   Great idea!  Thanks again.
