Bacon Grease

Is the fat, potent carbs and calories included in bacon grease included in the fried bacon itself for the daily log or must I add it? I ask because I cooked my eggs in the leftover bacon grease. If it is not included, does anyone know how much grease is yielded by two pieces of bacon?

I wouldn’t worry about it if you are losing weight.  You could count the bacon as raw instead of cooked, so the fat would be included.  In any case, a little more fat should not hurt you.

Just as a thumbnail it seems to me like it's about a tablespoon per slice. But I use the extra thick deli bacon, so if you're using the regular skinny bacon then probably less. I also assume that the bacon fat is not included. I include bacon in a lot of my recipes, so I add a tablespoon of bacon grease to my log per slice of bacon that I've included in my recipe.

I cook my eggs in my bacon fat too...but I don't add the extra fat in my numbers...just chalk it up to "extra" :)
