A Super Irritating Weight Loss Plateau - NEED HELP!!
help -
I have been on Keto since June and have lost 35 LBS (235 TO 200). Pretty steady eddy, with close discipline. I also do intermittent fasting.
I kept a strict Keto diet but stopped losing weight in early December. I backed off for the holidays (some cheating), and by first week in January was only 3 lbs above my early Dec Low. Went hard in early January (fasting, strict Keto, no cheating) and NOTHING...NO LOSS..COMPLETE PLATEAU. UGGH! I have tried a 24 hr fast, fat fast, and nothing is working.
HELP - any tips/tricks that can break the plateau would be SO appreciated!!
Thanks in advance!

Have you adjusted your macros?? Every 10 pounds or so they can change. Sugar alcohols can stop progress and get you out of ketosis also. Keep it to 4g or less of those a day. Drinking half your body weight of water daily? Do you use a calorie deficit? A lot of people do keto but don’t count calories- it can work for a few, but not for everyone. Most people need a decent deficit to lose weight. Also don’t have too much of a deficit or your body will think it’s starving and hold on to fat. Never go below 1200 cal/day, it’s not healthy.

I read your topic this morning and it is exactly the same pattern for me. I changed my settings for the keto diet, 1100 calories and no more than 13 gr carbs per day, nothing does it. Maybe it is the water - not drinking enough? Maybe it is the salt - not adding salt enough? I used to melt and now, after a 30 pounds loss, I am on a plateau even if I do not cheat. Started at 230 pounds in Jan.2019 and now at 203/205 pounds. It is so frustrating.
