Hello, newbie here

Started Keto October 26th and I've lost 16 pounds so far.

I'm getting the hang of finding clean foods to buy and whatnot but my biggest issue is learning all the names companies use for sugar.

I know anything with maltodextrin, dextrose, HFCS, starches is a big no-no.

Any suggestions for sauces, BBQ, ketchup, and dressing?

Edit:

Yesterday I made Chia pudding but it threw my carbs way out. I thought it's fiber so it should be deducted from my carbs correct?

Some people choose to track net carbs (total carbs less fiber) while others choose to track total carbs.

Just my opinion, but it seems to me that net carbs allows more flexibility in what you eat, while total carbs gives you a cleaner diet with less ‘carbs sneaking in’.

if you’re starting out, you might get more dramatic results by tracking total carbs.  Once you learn the ropes, you can always decide whether to keep tracking total or change to net.

Hope this helps and good luck!

There are keto versions of sauces and dressings and lots of recipes if you want to make your own to REALLY control what goes in them - also, some "regular" items can be OK, too - just keep checking the ingredients like you are doing. The scanning tool is great if you want a quick assessment - it will show you the "grade" of the item so you'll know right away if it's a thumbs up or down food.
