Very Happy

Good morning, after 3 weeks I have lost 12 pounds so I am very happy. However, whilst I am loving the meat side of things I am heartily sick of veg, salad and cauliflower  rice. Especially cauliflower rice which tasted disgusting by itself but not too bad mixed in with with a sauce. What other alternatives are out there please?

  • Are you looking for vegetable suggestions? I’m not a big fan of cauliflower rice either and you will never convince me that mashed cauliflower can substitute for mashed potatoes, but that aside I have found that I like roasted cauliflower. You can have most vegetables, just not the root ones. I also like roasted brussel sprouts, especially if you peel them to make little leaves, add some olive oil and sea salt, then roast them in the oven or air fryer. They come out like crispy little chips. Green beans with garlic and avocado or olive oil. Asparagus, garlic and avocado oil, sprinkled with fresh Parmesan cheese. Tomato, mozzarella cheese, fresh basil, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I eat lots of celery and cucumber as add ons to my meals.

Kristie Friars Thankyou for the reply. I know there is no way of getting away from veg. I stir fry most of it now it's just that I used to live on pasta and rice and nothing can ever replace them. Sprouts are a no-no right from the start as I detest the little buggers. It's a childhood thing from having to sit at the table for hours until I ate them all🤮. I will perceiver so thankyou for your input

  • I too hated sprouts as a child and even as an adult, until I tried them again about 2 years ago. I still don’t eat them regularly but when I do I can act enjoy them.  Good luck.
