2 weeks in, not losing weight
Hi all, looking for advice. I am 2 week in to a strict keto diet. I lost 10lbs at the start (July 6th) of my diet because I did a 48hr fast (most of that was 4th of July Bloat). Then went right into a strict keto diet. I haven’t cheated once and have logged everything. I’m staying under the app allotted calorie for the day every day and I am sitting at 10lbs down. My only vice is an occasional Diet Coke, like 1 every other day. Does anyone else have this problem? I’m starting to think this isn’t gonna work for me.
thanks in advance for my advice.

My experience was similar to yours. The initial loss was big and fairly quick. It took my body awhile to catch up and took along time for the scale to go down gain.
All I can do is tell you to keep going👍You will eventually start seeing the results. It may not be as fast as other people’s on keto, but it will be evident in your clothes. I walk a lot so I have reshaped my legs, thighs and butt so overall I’m happy that I look fitter at my current 147lbs than I have been in the past at the same weight.
love the foods I’m eating. Am completely satisfied and no longer binge eat.
Good luck and keep us posted -
When I first did this, I drank vodka slimline tonic every night. Diet fizzy drinks non stop, lumps of cheese when ever I wanted. And you know what I never counted calories. I just tried to keep carbs under 20-30 g. Now I know there was hidden carbs in fizzy sugar free drinks etc, but I went with if it’s got no carbs I’m drinking it. In 3 months I got to the best shape of my life . 12 percent bf. slim and healthy. Now if I do the same I cant get where I did back then .. why?
sonetimes it’s the small things u think are ok which can stop the weight loss. Having sweet low treats is a big one . Go back to basics. Meat eggs greens fish chicken .. you will see a change -
Like "Thegilston" said, go back to basics. It's how much you put in, not just the amount of carbs. It took my body a long time to get used to being hungry because I was suddenly offering it so little food to eat! But after a few months, my stomach stopped growling every hour and I only needed the little bit I was eating. And I ate only until I wasn't hungry, which isn't near as much as my larger self ate. I never ate the whole piece of cheese if I was satiated after half the piece. There's a lot of mental stuff in this diet! My cheat was one square of Ghiradelli chocolate every other night. (I'm a sugarholic) But it didn't set me back. A couple of months ago I discovered a great brand of low carb chocolate candy. Now I can barely stand real sugar candy. However, I still limit myself to 3 malt ball size pieces of candy - I've come to realize that I can taste the chocolate without having to stuff on the chocolate.
