Jim looking for advice I fast for 18 hrs stick to 1600 calories but can’t shift the last few pounds

  • The last few pounds are very difficult, especially if it's belly fat. Very stubborn. Your calories may be too low for a guy, I've heard that 1,800 is the minimum for guys. You might want to look at increasing your calories a bit but keeping the carbs down. I haven't done a lot of research on keto for guys, so double check my numbers.

  • You could try doing a prolonged fast 24-72 hours and see if it helps jumpstart it. Do you work out at all? I, myself am not an expert, but the people I know that have been doing keto for a while say that the prolonged casts can help, especially if you are keto adapted, because your body will be burning straight fat the whole time. 

  • Have you tried an egg fast/diet? I’ve been reading on how that helps to push through plateaus. It’s basically eggs and fats for 3-5 days. I haven’t done it yet but intend to.
