Squeaky clean keto

What is squeaky clean keto.  I am a 55 year young woman and I have been doing keto for two weeks and haven't had any loss.  Thought this could help!

Some people do 'clean' Keto - they don't use sweeteners or other additives, avoid processed food and concentrate on whole foods.  I'm in the 50 age bracket myself and find the loss is a lot slower - barely lost anything at all for the first two weeks. Do you have a lot of weight to lose?

    Bonnie

I have,  I feel a lot,  I would like to lose 25 pounds and I have a hard time eating enough fat,  I think it's been slow cuz my protein is to high.  I am working on that.  Any suggestions?  Thanks for your reply.

Bonnie 25lbs isn't a great deal to lose so you may find it slower at your age. I started with 20lbs to lose and now have about 14lbs but it is slow going - much slower than when I low carbed in my 20s.  I know what you mean about getting the fat up - I find that hard myself without going mad on cream and butter and that makes me puke due to gall bladder issues. One thing you could look at is fatty fish - for instance smoked mackerel has a lot of fats in it. Also buy fattier meat - ribeye instead of sirloin, belly pork instead of loin, 80% lean mince instead of 95% lean etc.  Chicken thighs are fattier than chicken breast. I think that if you do more of the fattier meats (and make sure that you're recording them as the fattier cuts rather than just generic 'pork' etc) you should find your fat level rises.

Bonnie too much proteins can result in excess proteins being processed in to carbs and that will defeat the low carb effort.  Do not exceed your proteins.

I found it helpful to plan my meal each day using the ‘Meal Planner’ tab.  That way I know in advance what I can eat, and how much.  It allows me to move things around and make adjustments until my numbers are good.  It was a little clunky at first when I started back in October, but it’s second nature now.

    Hope this helps.
