That's crazy! But I hear that every so often. People on keto prefer to track their inches rather than pounds because pounds can be misleading.
Most of the weight you lose is water. Water has volume. Thus the loss in inches. But to maintain the same weight, you likely have more energy on keto and likely more active and gaining muscle.
If you think not, some people have "weight loss resistance" which makes your body particularly stubborn at maintaining it's status quo/weight. It is curable! Keep on keto and eventually your weight will go down.
Adding resistant starches might help with that.
Adding intermittent fasting is touted as the most effective method for breaking through weight loss resistance.
And reducing carbs further, even 1-2g/day could help.
Foremost, make sure you drink enough water and get enough electrolytes.

Hi everybody!
My name's Ken and I'm new to the site, it's been lovely reading all the uplifting and positive messages on this thread!
I joined as I have a few questions about a diet I'm interested in, which I hear is something which is beneficial in people with high blood pressure and family history of diabetes? It is the ketogenic diet - I hear it helps with weight loss and energy levels, but I have also read concerns about health - I don't currently have medical issues although I do have a family history of diabetes. I was wondering if there are any helpful people in this thread who have any information or support for this? There are a few websites I looked at, could you let me know whether they are useful or not and how reliable they are? Thanks in advance for the help and support!
