Hi. I am on day 6 and have started having nasty burps. Is this something normal.? I had uncontrollable diarrhea for 2 days also.

    I never had any of these. I'm thinking they will pass. Perhaps some foods are making the symptoms worsen ? I know I burp like hell from cucumbers and I have to take psyllium husk every day as I battle contipation from keto. I'm thinking gallbladder isn't liking your keto but should pass. Hopefully.

  • Gallbladder might be problem as I don’t have one. I havent had previous problems, but maybe I haven’t eaten as much fat. I am proud I have not cheated once.

    djtroop51c796 I had my gallbladder removed too.  I also have IBS which definitely was irritated the first couple of weeks but is now dramatically better, in fact I take food quality castor oil each morning now as well as fibre tablets.... burping was something I never did and I have noticed I do now 😧   ~ hadn’t even thought about the increased fat connection.

    djtroop51c796 With that said, you probably should "ease" into the fats you need, slowly. Same with going off a higher fat diet back to non keto diet.

  • I took your hint and spreading fat out over the day seemed to help. On bullet coffee I cut MCT and cream from 2tsp to 1tsp and drink at bkfst and late afternoon. Doing good now.
