I WAS a skeptic! Not NOW!!

I was skeptic at first as eating any fats was totally drilled into me for years was a no no!  It’s taken awhile to get my head around this but I’m a believer!

I started by tracking with carb manager since Sept 25 and I’m 16 lbs down.  More importantly I’m loosing inches.  I’ve had to take a link out of my watch, I have gone down a size in tops and I gave more energy.    My arthritis is lessening and my asthma has improved.

I’m still learning about the whole key I way.  I’m struggling with getting my proteins in bc without going over my 18g if carbs.   I know I’ll get there.

  • I’m confused as to why you have a hard time getting your protein without going over carbs?

  • I have struggled with getting enough protein as well sometimes.  Chicken is quite a bit higher in carbs than steak...is that where you can tweak some things?  I love nitrate free uncured bacon too...anything that helps with lowering the carb count.

Chicken breast meat has zero carbs, very little fat and mostly protein.  Fish is a great source of protein as well.

  • If your chicken has carbs then it’s breaded.  Go for plain unprocessed meats and seafood  as much as possible. Good sources of protein are meat, seafood, eggs, Greek yogurt, nuts, nut butters, seeds.
