Hi everyone is different but the rules are you should hit your fat or as close as and  your carbs below.  It is not recommended to go over on protein . There us a higher protein macro option which is in settings which you can select if you want more protein

Hi there, I’m new to the diet as well but I have asked the same question. You want to not go over your protein or your body will burn the protein for fuel instead of fat which is not what you want. Like I said I’m new so if I’m wrong someone please correct me.

Recent items I have read and listened to seem to suggest that overall protein intake is of little concern. Assuming everything is essentially ok metabolically, then a few excess grams of protein won't have an adverse effect on getting into or maintaining ketosis.

The primary goal should be to keep carbs low to reduce insulin responses which definitely deter ketosis. Still better to try and feed the body the calories it needs unless you want to jump right into (IF) intermittent fasting.

My thought however would be to try and get accustomed to eating enough fat while reducing carb intake and getting into ketosis, which can take several days, before trying (IF).
