Sharing Recipes

Either I’m missing the feature or it doesn’t exist yet. Our whole family is on the Keto plan and using Carb Manager. I’d like to share recipes I create with my wife and son so they can add servings of the same meal without adding numbers. Thanks

  • Hi Keith,

Thanks for the note. To share recipes, you can "friend" other users. You'll have access to their recipes (and meals / custom foods) in their profile.

  • Carb Manager Keith, I am interested in this as well.  How do you access their profile on my own phone.   Where do I go to get access to their profile.  I'm n ot seeing it.  I've gone to community and find my husband's name but can't get access to his foods which as recipes he custom entered.   Thanks

  • Jessie Carrera Please go to Community > Friends and send a friend request. Once it's approved, you'll see the user's name on that same page. Tap on it to view their profile.

  • Keith Evans do each of your family members have their own premium-paid account or are you all able to somehow connect with just one premium- paid account? My husband and I are curious bc we are trying to save as much money as possible and don’t want to have to pay for 2 accounts if we can just do one premium-paid account.

  •  Carb Manager , Is there a delay between sending the request and having it appear in the person's email? My husband and I are trying to friend each other so that we can share meals etc. Also, will he have to have a premium account to be able to share? Right now only I have premium. Thanks in advance!

  • Finally figured out how to share recipes and custom foods with “friends”.  Go to Community > Friends, select Friend who has recipe you want, select recipe or item from their list you want to ad to your list, in upper right corner click 3 dots then “copy to my foods”.

It took a minute for it to update once copied.

I have not figured out how to share from my own list but if they view your foods they can save to their own list.

  • Carb Manager it would be very helpful to be able to add a recipe and then send it to the friends in the list. My wife enters recipes and it is a lot of clicks the get it in to my carb manager.  Chuck

  • I totally agree - I have time to make the recipes but others in my family don't - love to be able to share my recipe with my friends.

Carb Manager I would like to be able to share my imported and custom recipes with people who do not use the Carb Manager app.

Yes, my wife and I are on Android and share one paid account. That applies to all our apps. It's an Android feature that you must enable.

However, be aware that you must still have two separate carb manager.com accounts, one for each of you. But you only pay for cardmanager once.

  • DMSLifestyle Glad you're loving Carb Manager! You can share recipes with friends by going to Community > Friends. Add a friend and they'll be able to view your recipes and vice versa.

  • I've tried multiple times to "friend" my husband so he can be on my account, the emails have never gone through.  I can "add" him to the account, but the recipes aren't being shared.  Help.

Carb Manager is the sharing working?  I want to subscribe but it is one of the reasons I have not yet done so.  I want to share with my wife and son.
