Recipe Import Feature

I strongly recommend that capabilities of importing/downloading recipes from websites or just cut and paste is added. This feature is available in MyFitnessPal app. I find this app more Keto friendly and more precise. Paprika also offers the same feature.

For Premium members you can import recipes. It's pretty good and editable.

  • You cannot import as easily as MyFitnessPal or Paprika as mentioned in my post. I have been a premium member for a while now and still stand by what I am saying.  Even the print feature hasn’t worked on my iphone.  Today I tried importing from this site - https://www.dietdoctor.com/recipes/the-keto-bread       It failed!!!

In Paprika you just go to an inteneded recipe page on the net and when you chose share - you can see Paprika as an option. You just chose share to Paprika and its downloaded/imported to the app.

webbsark how is it editable?  I imported a recipe that makes 24 fat bombs and when I go to log it there is no 1/24th measurement. Would love to be able to add number of servings per recipe.

mjpar72 they need to have better tutorials on here, I just figured it out while playing around

    1. Go to My Foods

    2.Scroll to recipes

    3.Choose a recipe

    4. Top 3 dots choose Edit

    5. Now in edit mode you can adjust servings, delete or add ingredients, etc.

6.save recipe. You still will have the original in My Foods (will be the lower one I think) which you can delete.

Sometimes when you import recipes it will be perfect and other times it's easier just to manually add everything. You can also use Quick entry if you know all the nutrition info.

I have found that the nutrients change after downloaded.  Specifically net carbs.  It’s happened to me 2x and it concerns me.

Beater I have found that you really have to look at each ingredient that gets imported to make sure it's accurate. Some sites and recipes are better than others. If I have the nutritional information sometimes I will use Quick entry and save my recipe somewhere else.

Finally for popular sites, often its already in the directory, searchable by name.

webbsark that is what I did but it has me questioning the validity of the nutrients in carb manager or the recipe site.

  • I have the premium and there is nothing easy about this app. In fact it is extremely frustrating to pull up your plan or even find it, shopping list includes things I said I don’t want to eat
