MCT oil

Just found out the hard way why you need to go slow and steady with MCT oil dosing. 🤢

mea76823480  If you’re just starting, you might want to begin with 1 tsp of MCT oil in your bulletproof coffee (blended for best results). If that doesn’t cause you any issues then work your way up to 1 tbsp. I find 2 tbsp to be too much but your mileage may vary. ;)

Why use MCT oil?  I get enough fat already, is there another reason to use it?

  • Hol_D  It is supposed to be good for energy and focus. I feel it does that and it helps with satiation. Does that answer your question? I usually start of with 1 tsp. for a few days and increase by a teaspoon every few days until I get to 2 tbs. It is not necessary for keto, but it helps with those I mentioned and getting your ketones up.

Tammi MCT = medium chain triglycerides. It’s mainly derived from coconut. Coconut oil is fine but MCT oil is a more solid choice for increased brainpower, energy, and fat burning, from what I understand. I’m new to all of this too, so 🤷🏻‍♀️. I plan to order from bulletproof.com. Look at both their MCT oil and XCT. I’m going with the XCT myself.

I've been using MCT oil for 3 months and it still has the same effect. Stomach cramps and well y'all know the rest of the story. What can I use as a replacement?

Tammi MCT oil is your best friend with a keto diet. Start with a tsp in your coffee “unflavored” every am or your smoothie etc” then start increasing until you take 1 Tbsp at a time. I take 1 Tbsp in am and in pm before bed. Win win! It should definitely be a part of your keto lifestyle ❤️
