MCT oil

Just found out the hard way why you need to go slow and steady with MCT oil dosing. 🤢

  • I found some power MCT oil on Amazon.  I'm debating about ordering it when I run out of my current oil.  I like to drink ice coffee and I think powder will  mix a bit better.

I think you might like the oil. Powder sometimes is difficult to blend and you get chunks. I have the oil and drink it in my coffee every morning with a tbsp of butter and full whipping cream. Delicious! I can't believe how focused I am and not hungry until about 1:00.

Wireman11   Take your time !!! Very small amounts, gradually build up. Don’t open the bottle and glug it back like I did thinking I was all superhero 😳🤭😃

who would have thought a bit of coconut oil can totally floor you and empty your insides out within hours !

Wireman11  I think I prob glugged about 50ml - it produces horrendous gas for 36 hours and literally rinsed my body out of anything in my intestines or bowels !!!

Like a homemade colonic irrigation !

After 24 hours I’ve never been so hungry and ravenous for food as I was totally EMPTY inside.

Go slow 5ml ( teaspoon) a day at first.

Joanna Hi, yes it is working, no more tummy aches.  I bought the MCT Oil Coconuts by Sports Research, I bought mine from Rite Aid drug store but they sell on Amazon as well.

mea76823480 I used TBS, but they suggest if new to the MCT oils try tsp for a week or so and working up to tbs...but if you can tolerate tbs go for it :)

Wireman11 Hi, just make sure the MCT oil is not expired and be sure to get rid of it when it does expire.  Also do not store any MCT oil in a plastic container, either keep in original bottle or in a ceramic oil bottle.

This may be a dumb question but since I’m new I’ve got to ask. What is MCT oil and why/when are you taking it? I’ve only been in this for 1 week so I’m still figuring it all out. Is this something I need to add to my meal plan?

I’m new to MCT also. It’s a “good” fat that knocks you into ketosis (or something like that) it helps to UP your Fat macros and it is good in coffee to give you an energy HIT.

    Thats my understanding

and if overdosed like I did - it is an entire body enemy that I never want to experience again in my life ! 😖🥺🤣

Ej lol maybe I should try some. I’m still struggling to lose weight. No clue if I’m in ketosis or not. This is day 6 and that scale hasn’t moved. But I’m sticking with it. I’ve double checked my macros and I’m usually under in all areas including calories. I’m definitely eating different and better so keto Sis or not I should lose

    something soon!

I started 6 weeks ago - lost 7kg so far another 5kg to go to my target weight. I’m on the High Protein Keto. I do 10km a day walking and then weight training or circuit class 3-4 times a week.

My Net Carb intake is never over 5 g and my net calories about 500 a day - total calories usually about 1000.

I was a sugar addict - insanely so ! So my body has had a huge change that’s why it probably came off me pretty quick also.

I have been doing the fasting 18:6 for last 10 days to kick it harder.

I used cold brew coffee to ease into it.  Trident Coffee ships all over and they have good MCT oil and cold brew coffees that actually taste good.  Worth checking out if you're a coffee drinker.
