New - Keto for therapeutic reasons, carb confusion

Hello! I’m starting the keto diet as an effort to gain better control over bipolar disorder as well as possibly help calm down my joint pain, migraines, and other somatic problems. I’m showing as positive for ketosis on the keto sticks after only a few days (maybe because I was already doing Paleo?), but still have a lot of confusion. 

My main concern is how to possibly stay so low on carbs. A couple of pieces of meat have enough carbs to get you over the limit! Am I counting wrong? Not sure if this question should go in the questions section. Thanks!

    What meat is putting you over on carbs? Most meat contains only protoen and fat. Try putting everything in to the app you plan to eat for the next day and that will let you see what you need to adjust

    Jpudds  Thanks for the response! I’ve been using MyFitnessPal and I’m wondering if it’s off with some of the details. I’ll look more into what I’m actually eating and the app.
