Insufficient barcode database

Extremely often the barcode scan fails to find an entry in your database. From 10 pretty generic foods (nuts, cheese, cream, prosciuto, ...) identified by MyFitnessPal, the Carb Manager managed to only identify only one entry. This is both frustrating and dissapointing, rendering your wonderful app useless for me. These were not regional foods mind you, some of them are from abroad. I would be more than happy to add the missing entry to your database, or even pay for the extended database. Is something like that possible? (I am from Czech Republic)

  • Hi there, thanks for getting in touch. Currently, our branded food database includes products from the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Australia. Were the products you scanned from one of these countries? We are looking into expanding in additional regions, and hope to license some additional product databases in the future. We also plan to implement a feature that will allow users to add items to our database by submitting photographs of the product, its nutrition label and barcode. We appreciate the feedback!
