Which day seems better?

Hi everyone,

I've been eating gluten free for a while and am working on going keto. I generally eat more protein than my macros allow for and am trying to cut back. I attached two screen shots of what potential days might look like. Am I better off going a bit over my net carbs but hitting my other macros, or staying under my net carbs but going over on protein and fat? Or are both days too similar to really matter much. Ignore the net calories here since they're being thrown off by different amounts of exercise.

Thanks so much for your help,

Andrew

  • I’ve not been doing it long but have been reading a lot in this forum and on other websites and I definitely think staying under your net carbs is best. Going over on your fat, especially at first, is fine. If you’re able to keep your protein down to your goal that would be good, I read somewhere that too much protein can trick your body and it will burn that instead of the fat we’re trying to get burned. Hope that helps a little. I see this was two weeks ago, how are you doing?

Staying under net carbs is more important for me than staying under protein & fat. Going over on protein is not an issue for me. I do walk 3-5 miles most days so that does require more protein.
