Help with reducing Protein

Hello,

I started my Keto diet 2 weeks ago and lost 10Lbs which is great but the last 4 days I haven't lost any weight at all. So I'm thinking that maybe the first 10Lbs was just water weight. I checked my Marcos and realised that I'm over my Protein levels every single day! Maybe that's why I am not losing any weight? I did the diet 2 years ago and I lost 40lbs but then fell off the bandwagon and never was able to get back on track until now.

I guess my question would be how to reduce my protein levels? I eat meat like every meal. Typical breakfast is like 3-4 eggs. Lunch I barely eat but I'll snack on like 2 oz of cheese/Almonds/ pork rinds (whichever I fancy for the day) and then dinner like 6-8 oz of chicken marinated different ways with a salad and full fat dressing.

Any help appreciated.

Thank you

    Hi,

There are several good videos on youtube which deal with this subject. I would say if you are within your calories, even if you are over on your protein, unless it's by a huge amount, that it is not a problem. After the water loss, my scales barely moved for 3 weeks. Your body is repairing itself, give it time to do that. You should be starting to notice that your clothes are fitting better--you will lose inches before weight. And try not to weight yourself more than once a week,  don't obsess over the scales. Keep at it, it's worth it!
