Exercise question
First full day using carb manager. I walked 9+ miles with my Fitbit. After adding the exercise numbers, my calories changed to negative but my carbs were not adjusted. I would think they would have. I used “Doug’s Fitbit”, should I simply say I walked 20,000 steps instead, to see a change in carbs?

Hi. I'm new to Carb manager and I, too, have questions about the syncing of devices. As far as I can tell, by syncing the devices ALL IT DOES is show you your step count. It does not show you what exercises you engaged in (my garmin tracks running, swimming, biking) and it does not calculate calories or recalculate your macros. Now...I'm hoping someone will chime in and tell me I'm wrong and how to fix it, but that's what I'm seeing. So...it's not a very helpful, integrated sync. Not at all like MyFitnessPal, for instance.

I am on day 4 with CM. I have a Fitbit, it synced perfectly, I had no issues at all. I am trying to determine if the daily activities truly are cancelling the Net Carb, Net Calories...... when I do a 5k run & weights my totals are negative!!!! So am I to eat (consume) for food/fuel??? Wondering just how accurate the calculations are? It was suggested I turn off the activity feature, which leads me to believe I must play attention to the food % consumed & NOT eat any more even if I am negative HELP!!!

i there. I have a Fitbit. It does show all my steps in CM & based on those daily steps it recalculated my totals. Some days hen I am over 10k steps AND staying within my target % macros I ended up with a () negative totals. I have asked the question just how accurate is the deduction, I do not want to over eat.
as for any exercise other than the obvious step count, I manually add them & they are applied (also deducted) from my totals
i hope my reply helped 😉

nana4125 At the bottom of your daily log you will see exercise. Sync your fitbit to CM on the fitbit platform. Then it will sync automatically. What you will find it the calories on the app and your fitbit don't match. The app is deducting your food intake. If you want your macros to reduce with exercise you go into settings and look for it. If you don't (which is common) set it to no. This will prevent you from feeling confident to eat more :).
