Needing input/ advice or confirmation

I’ve been following Keto for 11 months. I am so very grateful for the elimination of severe stomach pains and losing that first 12 lbs. however I have been stalled at weight loss for the past 6 months. Following  carb manager app says I should only eat 950 calories a day and 12 net carbs. I am 56, weigh 130 and am moderately active (walk and 8lb weight drills). 950/12 is extremely challenging long term and my weight loss journey being unproductive does not aid me mentally at sticking to it. Any thoughts suggestions?

According to every source I've seen, women should not drop below 1200 calories a day. It's one of the great weaknesses of this app that it allows you to drop below 1200 calories. I would strongly suggest increasing your macros to 93 grams of fat, 75 g of protein and maximum 15 grams of carbs.  it may take you some time to recover because one of the risks of dropping below 1200 calories is slowing your metabolism. You might want to watch some videos on how to speed up a slow metabolism.

  • I went into my profile and looked around as someone mentioned the ability to change your calorie goals- I was able to update my information and have done so. I too was under the impression that lowering your calorie intake too low can damage your metabolic rate so best to raise.  Thank you for your reply!
