Chronic Fatigue/ Fibromyalgia
I’m 66, have been sick for 20 years. The fatigue defeats me & keeps my life in bed. It’s hard thinking of & making meals. This is day 22 eating this lifestyle. My flare is so bad for almost 2 weeks now, my fatigue crippling. Finding foods have been difficult but I’ve stayed pretty true to eating this way. I don’t understand macros yet but I try to eat & document.
I’m going to hang on eating this way to see if I witness any changes to my health. I’m eating 100% better than before which was all convenient foods. Chocolate rice cakes, chocolate peanut butter ice cream, corn dogs, toast, anything easy & fast.

It is hard to keep up with good food preparation with these conditions (25ish years experience with them myself). I find making several plates at once, so they are just ready to grab and eat, helps.
Doing all the cooking, weighing and plating for individual meals was too much--if tonight's dinner is plated exactly the same twice, then I have tomorrow's lunch for a quick heat and eat.
Cook twice as much breakfast and put half in the fridge. If tomorrow is a "good" day, maybe I cook again tomorrow and save the pre-made breakfast for the next day.

nanajean66904 Hi there. Are you following low carb or ketogenic ? If ketogenic, you could be experiencing a keto flu and this can cause a ruckus. Hang in there, your body is adapting possibly. In a few weeks time you should notice a change for the better with your fibromyalgia, but everyone is different for the time frame so we really can’t put a date on that so to speak. Diligence is key for you and willpower.

Hi, I’m Toucky. Been at it five weeks with same problems as you. I shop on a good day and then on next day or two portion out everything. I use baggies and restaurant portion cups. When I cook I cook double or triple and freeze it. My Dr. started me on a new treatment that more than halved my bad days. Life is looking up.

Medical marijuana. My Dr. spent three years trying to convince me to try it. Four months in bed finally made me cave in and try it. I activated the stuff and processed it into coconut oil, then capsules. Two to three capsules at bedtime only. I sleep better now than in twenty years. Over a course of three weeks the pain reduced to 1/10 of what it was. Sleeping in the daytime is now a thing of the past. I’ve been on this treatment for a full year now and would never give it up. I now also process some into cbd oil for day use if I need it. Brain fog is now minimal and my very large family claim they love having me back. I’ve taken up kayaking and am learning to walk comfortably once again. Feel free to message me if you have questions.

No, it did not for me. I work very close with my Dr. I must say I no longer tell everyone I want to die from the pain. No more narcotics or others that don’t seem to work, no more crazy extreme mood swings. I’m happy and clear headed. I sleep peaceful at night. As it built up in my body the pain faded. I use a strong Indica with high THC at night. Warning...your going to sleep, but you wake up easily if you need to. Daytime I make just CBD from a very low THC variety, so no high. Doc wants me to add just plain fresh marijuana leaves to my daily diet but I have not found a source for them yet. I thought he was crazy but now I wish I had not resisted for so long. Today I only need my diabetes and blood pressure meds, nothing else.
