Keto + intermittent fasting- who else is doing it?
I have been listening to Dr Jason Fung, and I am liking his logic and style but I have questions about If when we do the Keto plus intermittent fasting- do we limit calories? Fat? Does drinking a lot of water (recommended 64 oz/day) dilute the ketones in the urine so that they aren’t showing us so dark on the Keto Strip? My loss seems so slow- or my expectations are too high. 🤔

You eat all your allocation in the short window that you allow yourself; lots of people have trouble consuming it all during the short time period, but you should try ; don’t sweat it if you don’t.
Ketones, dehydration will make ketones appear lighter; just remember dark or light any ketosis is good!! No trophies for dark ketones! 😊

In very simple terms: fat lose is greatest when you don’t have insulin spikes; eating a carb meal causes insulin spikes. If you can fast 12-16 hours per day, that’s 12-16 hours you have avoided insulin spikes. Not really that difficult to accomplish if you stop eating at 7pm and not eat again until 11am; you still eat all your allocated macros, you just eat them in a shorter period of time. Does that make sense?
