Reached Goal#1 = 5lbs down. Now gonna try something different for 5 days —- Because ....

My daughter and her guy are coming to visit our brand new digs for 5 days next week ! They get here Friday night and leave next Wednesday morning, so two days left on keto. For the next 5 days anyhow, then my plan is to go right back to keto, just like now.  

So, I’ve been hoping overall to use this keto plan to drop to goal and then use a very careful plan of diet and exercise to maintain goal. Although my end goal is 15 down, I’ve dropped 1/3 of that or 5# in just two weeks. Yay ! This sure does work 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻😊. 

My very careful plan for these 5 days will be like this:

Vegie-Pesc - organic at home but we’ll likely go out plenty while they’re here. 

Small portions but no hunger. Split meals w dau or hubby like we so often do  

Stick w 0 carb alcohol. We don’t drink much but do enjoy our spirits together 

Watch scale every day.  If 1# up, do something less, probably fm a calories perspective. If 2# up and not responsive to drop in food amt, type and calorie drop, go back to keto.

Underlying questions for me ( for both now and later/lifelong) will be —

1.  Does my metabolism require a ketogenic diet to maintain my own decided goal weight - or is a sustained keto genesis ( weeks or months) only needed to get down to goal ?

2. Can I maintain my decided goal with a non ketogenuc but otherwise optimum lifestyle re diet and exercise ?

 (2a. Might this need to include intermittent fasting some days, most days or all days? )

  (2b. Or might it be that I will need to “add keto back” for days or weeks at a time to maintain goal ? Will that even be possible for my own particular metabolism ?)

3.  Hey ! Intermittent Fasting has some increasingly good lit on it forcweight maintenance or loss.  Maybe that’s the thing to do - switch bw IF and full Keto fm time to time ...
