John 57 Cedar Grove NJ

Hello all. I started about 3-4 weeks ago. It’s working for me. I use the test strips, but  they still show less than 1/2 way to 16. I am losing weight, but also running everyday. Can I spoon feed virgin olive oil (5 tablespoons) to uptick my fat ?

    Once you get fat adapted the urine test strips might not show anything or just a bare hint at best.

    My blood ketone reading was 1.1 mmol/L this morning and I barely registered on the urine test strip. Been on keto for about 1 month now, second attempt after a 6 month hiatus.

  • I heard a good tip that I use.  Think of the low carb vegetables that are suggested as vehicles to carry the extra fat you need like the olive oil you suggested and butter and homemade ranch dressing etc.   Drench the broccoli, spinach and  cauliflower in it.
