I'm new to this forum. I'm now an empty-nester and have been attempting zero carb for about 3 weeks, except for 2 short trips where that was not totally possible. I am needing to improve my general health, reduce inflammation, and lose over 150 lbs. I'm looking forward to learning from others and connecting with encouragers.

Hi and welcome. My personal experience is to eat veggies everyday for proper nutrition. Either raw greens or cooked, but preferably raw. It helped me completely clear up a bout psoriasis while losing weight at the same time. I use turmeric on my cooked veggies often because it is so good at helping fight inflammation. A true keto diet includes carbs, albeit very low, only 5%. You can lose 150 lbs and will, if, you stick with it. I needed to lose 65 lbs and did it in about 8 months. You can do it too.
