Focus on Whole Foods, whole meats, but keep the protein grams in check. When you go from hundreds of grams of carbs per day to even 80, your body will at first fight you, but leaving you with hunger. Steamed veg with butter and a whole meat, pork chop, etc. don't eat too much protein or this could cause weight gain. Take leisurely or fast walks during the week. This may bring you down with the water about 6-10 pounds if you stick to it. Do not go over the carb counts. This is important. Hunger sometimes is a mental thing especially when you know your eating enough food in a day. And drink lots of water, no diet pops. A month isn't a long time, but it's something. Try to figure out why your hungry - boredom-emotional- anxiety ? Listen to your body. Do not over eat, just eat till satisfied. Try to look at your plate and say " do I really need all that food ".  You should do well. But don't stop at the 1 month, keep going. Maybe you will enjoy transitioning to ketogenic eventually. You can have some heavy cream in your coffee but try to avoid artificial sweetners as much as possible. I can prewarn you, the first month of even dramatically cutting carbs to 80 can be challenging. Cravings. Etc. maybe even a headache here and there. Good luck!
