Did you fail because you went off it and couldn’t get back on , or because you have a lot of weight to lose and couldn’t sustain the diet? It is both for me.
I was on it a month before going back home to visit my aging mother. I then ended up going off it for a month and it was tough to restart. Now I have been on it for 3 whole days now. Wow, right?
What I am doing now is making sure the fridge and freezer are stocked with meats, fish, and skinless chicken breasts plus fresh and frozen vegetables, plus olives, feta cheese, etc so that I am less tempted to run to the grocery store or to eat out, which tempts me to end up buying and eat carb-laden food. However, I work from home so I don’t have to be tempted by outside influences.
I have a lot of weight to lose so I probably need at least six months to get it off and that is my challenge as well. Sustaining the diet.
What I am trying now is to keep my carbs under 20 a day. I never deny myself food but I make sure it is low carb. Last night before bed I had 55 grams of feta cheese because I was feeling like I needed something.
Anyway, keeping temptation at bay and trying to focus on being strict with the carbs is how I am hoping to stay on the program.
