Hello everyone... My name is Nicole, I am 49 years old. I have tried so many different things. None do I ever stick to or I just get bored. I am not really sure why I self sabotage myself. I am hoping for something different with Keto!

welcome to the group!  I'm 54 and started keto May 31st.  Back in 2013 I made a fitness commitment to lose weight and get in shape, which I did by way of cleaner eating and tons of exercise.  Since about 2016 I started slowly but surely putting the weight back on due to sloppy eating habits.  I wasn't happy with the way I felt or looked.  Clothing wasn't fitting me so well anymore at which point I got fed up with it all and decided to try keto.  Like anything worth doing, it takes total commitment to follow the eating protocol.  I limit myself to 1,500 calories per day while observing the macro percentages for the keto diet.  I exercise 3-4 times a week, mostly light to moderate, rarely intense.   The first 2-3 weeks are the hardest as your body adjusts to not consuming carbs. And you may experience the keto flu, muscle weakness, and lack of stamina during this time especially when exercising.  But, you should see great progress also in this time as you drop lbs fast, mostly due to water excretion at first, but it's progress nonetheless. Stick with it, log your meals and weight daily in Carb Manager and/or a spreadsheet (I do both as I like looking at the chart of my weight loss).   Good luck!
